Plastic Surgery

Erik had his plastic surgery today. Everything went very well. The surgeon came out right after a 4 1/2hr surgery and was so nice and calm and great about the whole thing. So, Erik has a titanium face. The weird thing was that the surgeon told me that Erik actually had some pre-existing broken bones on his right side rear lower cheek area. They are already healed and he said that if they didn't bother him before then they won't bother him now. So, that was one less thing for him to fix! Erik may have got those bones in a previous accident, like skiing or something.
I did get to see Erik when he woke up from surgery. He is puffy, a little like a chipmunk. He will be more bruised tomorrow and the next day. He was a quick healer last time so I think this will go pretty fast too. I am so relieved that we are done with surgeries now and can move on to recovery.
Erik has moved to a different floor, Unit 13A (on floor 13). He is in room 8 (13a8 on the door). If you take the main elevators from the lobby (on 9) you will see double doors to your right to enter 13A. There is no waiting room, there is no black phone to call in....you just go in and find room 8 on your right. It is close to the beginning. Erik is sharing the room with another gentleman, who I have not met yet but there is a curtain separating them.
